Black Park community near Halton, Chirk, has set up a new group following the energy-share initiative. Here is what they had to say,
“Black Park Wales NRG is a new community group that has been set up to look at how we can reduce our energy use and Carbon footprint as a community. It will look at ways renewable energy can become part of our everyday lives helping to turn Black Park into a more environmentally friendly place and reduce our energy bills! Councils across North Wales, under the banner of the North Wales Residual Waste Treatment Project (NWRWTP) are in the process of commissioning a large incinerator to burn all their waste, likely to be located either near Deeside or Holyhead.
They are currently consulting on proposals and are running a series of public meetings across the north over the summer.
